Stormwater Source Control Design Guidelines 2012 Update
Project Highlights
KWL revised and updated Metro Vancouver’s 2005 Stormwater Source Control Design Guidelines to include more engineering design guidance and sizing for source controls to meet volume capture criteria. This required developing two separate simplified sizing approaches for design of each of six types of source controls. KWL ran thousands of continuous simulation water balance models and collated the results to create sizing design charts that allow design of source to meet volume capture criteria without modelling. The two simplified sizing approaches developed allow design of simple source controls for any site in the Metro Vancouver region, regardless of ISMP, watershed, municipal or other criteria that apply.
