Experience

Laurel Morgan leads the Stormwater Group at KWL.  Laurel is an engineer and project manager with 17 years of consulting experience in water resources and stormwater.  She has extensive experience with Integrated Stormwater Management Planning (ISMP) and has contributed to and managed ISMPs for various municipalities.  Laurel’s specialties include leading and managing complex multidisciplinary projects such as the disciplinary Garden City Lands Water and Ecological Resource Management Strategy for the City of Richmond and developing technical guidance and guidance documents for stormwater management using green infrastructure for Metro Vancouver and other clients.  Laurel was vice-chair of the subcommittee that developed the Canadian Standards Association’s W200 Standard for Design of Bioretention Systems.  Laurel’s background includes hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, spatial analysis, and floodplain management.
