Experience

At KWL since 2013, with decades of engineering experience in stormwater, water resources, and municipal infrastructure projects across Canada and New Zealand, Andrew is a seasoned professional.  He has demonstrated expertise in emergency flood response and managed complex design and construction projects for steep creek systems.  Andrew’s impressive portfolio includes stream daylighting, debris barriers and basins, culvert replacements, stream diversions, spawning channels, bank stabilization works, and habitat enhancement projects.

Andrew has been pivotal in various urban creek daylighting projects, such as Canyon Creek, Tatlow Park Creek, Guichon Creek at BCIT, and Kilmer Creek in North Vancouver.  His work on the Kilmer Creek project involved the groundbreaking task of daylighting a section of the creek that had been piped under Argyle Secondary School for 60 years.  This exceptional project demonstrated bioengineering techniques in conjunction with hydraulic design to optimize riparian habitat quality while preserving flood protection.

Andrew’s areas of expertise include sustainable stormwater management, green infrastructure, low-impact design, surface water management, flood management and water resources, erosion and sediment control, and civil/infrastructure engineering.  His wealth of knowledge and experience make him a valuable asset to any project team.
