KWL Partners with RMOW and UBC to Study Corrosion in Water Distribution System
The Resort Municipality of Whistler identified a risk for internal corrosion in its water distribution system and is partnering with UBC Civil Engineering professor Loretta Li and Kerr Wood Leidal Associates to study this corrosion. Their findings will potentially benefit municipalities across Canada by enhance the understanding of how internal corrosion affects municipal water systems. Ultimately, this could help reduce pipe and fitting failures and increase the lifespan of municipal water distribution infrastructure.
