Experience
Don Nash is a Senior Engineer and Project Manager at Kerr Wood Leidal (KWL), with over 30 years of combined education and work experience. Don has become a highly regarded figure in the water community, especially for his influential roles in groundbreaking projects such as the City of Dawson Creek’s Reclaimed Water Facility and the District of Sechelt’s Water Resource Centre.
His vast technical expertise encompasses civil engineering, water treatment, wastewater treatment, reclaimed water, and contemporary project delivery methods. With a diverse professional background, including experiences as a local government general manager, consultant, and general contractor, Don offers a unique perspective that adds significant value to projects.
In his current role, Don leads KWL’s services to local governments, First Nations, developers, and industrial clients throughout Western Canada. He has been Chair of the BC Water and Waste Association Water Sustainability Committee and Co-Chair of the Risk and Resilience Committee. Don has presented and written on climate change, geoengineering, and hydraulic fracturing. His work with the Engineers Canada PIEVC Protocol demonstrates his commitment to incorporating climate change into engineering design. He has been a vital part of the KWL team since 2015.
