Experience
Kristjan Sundberg has been an integral part of Kerr Wood Leidal Associates (KWL) since 1998, currently serving as a Project Manager in the Civil Infrastructure sector. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in civil engineering, Kristjan has honed his expertise in various roles ranging from fieldwork to project management. His extensive fieldwork repertoire features topography, inventory, construction layout, grades, high-order levelling and record surveys, and construction inspection and administration for diverse clients, including municipal bodies, private enterprises, and First Nations communities.
Kristjan’s high-profile project involvement track record is a testament to his versatility and skill set. He has managed or coordinated notable projects, including the EPCOR White Rock Water Total Water Quality Management Project, the Resort Municipality of Whistler’s Olympic Plaza Site Servicing, Cheakamus Crossing Development District Energy System Distribution, the Bayly Park Development and the Gateway Loop Transit Centre. He was also pivotal in the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation’s Prospect Point Parking Lot and Road Relocation. Most recently, he has been involved with the Sumas River Dike Breach Repair using Cutter Soil Mixing (CSM) methods and multiple sediment removal and bank protection projects with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy.
His multi-faceted capabilities, from project design to contract administration, make Kristjan a valued asset to KWL and our commitment to quality and innovation in civil infrastructure.
