Experience

Peter has been an essential part of the KWL team since joining the company in 1991.  With a Diploma of Technology in Civil and Structural Engineering from BCIT, Peter’s early years at KWL saw him travelling throughout British Columbia to work on various projects, including municipal infrastructure, hydroelectric power plants, stormwater management systems, and water and wastewater treatment facilities.

As KWL expanded, Peter transitioned to Survey and Mapping Manager, continuing to excel today.  In this role, he coordinates and verifies survey information, utilizing his expertise to source and acquire various types of data, including aerial mapping, bathymetric data, Lidar, and GIS data, such as orthographic photos, lot boundary (cadastral), and infrastructure.

Peter is also a skilled Project Manager and has successfully delivered on a wide range of multidisciplinary projects.  Most notably, he provided civil engineering design and construction services for several significant, award-winning developments located in the Lower Mainland, including Mountain Equipment Co-op’s (MEC’s) retail store in North Vancouver (2012), MEC’s Head Office in Vancouver (2014), and UBC’s District Energy Centre (2016).  All of these buildings were completed to a minimum LEED Gold standard.

Peter’s experience, expertise, and dedication to his work have been essential to KWL’s growth and success.  He is a valued team member, and his contributions will continue to be vital for years.
