Project Highlights
Greater Vernon Services, Water (GVSW) is implementing source capacity and treatment improvements to its water systems. The Kalamalka Lake Pump Station (Kal PS) is a critical long-term supply facility and will feed the proposed Mission Hill Water Treatment Plant (WTP).
Upgrades to the 22 year old Kal PS include the replacement of 2-200 hp vertical turbine pumps with 400 hp units, improvement of the wet well geometry using aluminum baffle walls, and replacement of the Motor Control Centres and HVAC system. The upgrade works will increase the station’s design capacity from 45 ML/d to 63 ML/d.
