Project Highlights

The station is designed to divert flows in excess of downstream sewer capacity so that sewage overflows to the environment are prevented.

The unique forcemain and pump configuration is the opposite of what convention dictates for a peak-flow station.  A relatively small forcemain handles typical wet weather flows, and large, variable speed motors handle infrequent peak flows.

The result is a superior pump station that is smaller, more responsive, easier to maintain, less odour generating and much less expensive to build than a conventional design.

It also has one of the first self-cleaning wet wells in British Columbia.

The station is part of a long-term I&I reduction and wastewater treatment strategy.
